Lipomatosis and lipodystrophies

1 - INTRODUCTION

The term lipomatosis includes a variety of tumours that develop from adipose tissue. These tumours can be divided into encapsulated and non-encapsulated forms [1]. In addition, we will also discuss lipodystrophies, a group of diseases characterized by a selective fat loss, which may be associated with secondary fat redistribution [2].
